Philabundance was created in 1984 with the simple belief that no man, woman or child should go hungry. Philabundance has taken a stronghold of the hunger issue in the Delaware Valley, implementing both emergency relief and also long-term strategies to strengthen the hunger safety net. Their growth and eventual integration with the Philadelphia Food Bank in 2005 has made them the region’s largest hunger relief organization. They are now able to address hunger through direct service programs and a network of 400 member agencies, as well as contribute to a broad spectrum of social services through food cupboards, emergency kitchens, shelters, daycare and senior centers and beyond.

Philadelphia restaurants & eateries will come together for a city-wide restaurant crawl & food drive where you can experience our
vibrant local restaurant scene in each of our neighborhoods.
Our goal is to support and bring awareness to
food related charities in our great city through restaurants opening their doors to an all-day event
centered on trying new restaurants, drinks, food, and fun. There will be food drop off locations in each neighborhood
where you can bring canned goods just before Thanksgiving.
Food Fest is FREE to participate for both consumers and restaurants [list a restaurant].
There are two ticket options – one that is free and another that is a donation to charity. If you do donate,
we will be mailing out a coupon book a few weeks after the event that is good for discounts at multiple Philadelphia area restaurants & businesses.
How It Works - It's Easy!
- Check In: Check in at the "check in" location in the neighborhood you would like to start in. This is where you drop off your canned goods
- Walk: Walk to any locations that you want! You do not need to stay in 1 neighborhood. You can go to as many places as you would like
- Enjoy: Enjoy great appetizer-type food specials at each location along with great drink specials from YARDS and TITO'S HANDMADE VODKA
- Fun: Enjoy yourself with some friends on a fun afternoon in the city!
Try New Restaurants
Dozens of restaurants in multiple neighborhoods will offer specials on delicious appetizer-type food items and craft beer & wine all while donating a portion of their sales to charity. list your restaurant
Support Charity
Donate money or donate to the food drive to support charity. It's only with your support that they are able to help the less fortunate - especially around this time of year to "give thanks".
